When creating our company name, our founder spent hours jotting down various ideas and meanings for them. During his brainstorming sessions, one thing kept coming back up: there are four seasons, four possible different stylizations of clothing, that create the basis for our modern life. From the skimpy summer days to beat the heat to layers of winter, these are each important and we all spend significant time carefully curating our wardrobes for each. He jotted down 1 word—realms—and moved on to more research.
From there, our founder did more research and landed on various symbols from mythology. That's where the four seasons began to merge into five.
The Five Realms logo is our take on the ancient Celtic five fold. The five fold is a series of rings that come together as one. In antiquity this meant Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water coming together to form the basis of life. We've brought it together with a modern variant that cleverly utilizes elements from our core logo font.
The outer 4 rings symbolize our brand words: Balance, Spirit, Calm, and Kind. The 5th and inner ring symbolizes Life where each of these coming together as more than their individual parts to form a great and peaceful life that we believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy.
