Finding a cool fabric isn't an easy task. There are plenty of fabrics in the marketplace, in major brands, and in specialty brands, that all say they are cool. But how do we make a fabric cool enough to be part of the Five Realms story? It has to be mythic.
We spent months scavenging at factories across the USA, India, China, and Europe to find a fabric that was light weight, breathable, felt cool to the touch, and was soft. Plenty of factories told us that they had cool fabrics. And many actually perform very well in a lab setting. But in the end, there was only one that met all of my criteria.
After the exhaustive search I narrowed fabrics down to just a few. Then I washed them. That's where the real test came in. It had to hold up wash after wash. Our final selection washed well and still maintained the properties we wanted.
